➢➢ British crime drama McDonald & Dodds will return for a second season on January 23 (TVNZ 1, 8.45 Sundays), nearly a year after its UK debut. “McDonald & Dodds once again succeeded in its by no means ignoble aim of making two hours of television pass in an undemandingly enjoyable way,” said The Spectator. “Just don’t expect Line of Duty.” But The Times said that after a strong start, it descends into “giddy farce with a plot flimsier than a moth’s pantyhose” ….
