➢➢ TVNZ 2 and Three will refresh their weekend line-ups with new and returning series. TVNZ 2’s Have You Been Paying Attention? will anchor 8.30 Fridays on from August 5, on a triple-bill with season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under and the 10.40 premiere of Ready to Mingle, a reality dating show in which a single woman “looking for love” moves in with 12 “lads”. The Daily Mail reported a “hugely disappointing” debut on ITV2, where the premiere drew just 140,000 viewers compared to 2.5 million for Love Island’s

➢➢ From July 30 Three will replace its Saturday night family movie with Building the Kiwi Dream (7.00) and Crikey! It’s the Irwins (7.30). The former follows fishing show star Matt Watson and his wife Kaylene’s attempts to build their dream home on a Bay of Islands beach; the latter is a 2018 Discovery+ series that’s so far spent three seasons showing how Steve Irwin’s widow Bindi and his children are continuing his legacy as wildlife conservationists (it first aired on Animal Planet) …

➢➢ Also new to Three will be Tom Sainsbury’s The Love Hour (7.30 Thursdays from August 4), which is billed as “a studio chat show where the delightful Tom Sainsbury interviews celebrity guests about all things love”. First up: Kimberley Crossman and Dai Henwood …

➢➢ Britain’s Child Drug Runners (Three, 9.30 Thursday) is a Channel 4 documentary that The Telegraph said “should be required viewing in every school” and which earned a five-star rave from The Guardian: “This chilling documentary looks at the rise of gangs grooming children as young as 11 to be drug mules, revealing a world of debt, deprivation and death” …

➢➢ Keeping Australia Safe (TVNZ 1, 11.15 Mondays from August 1) is a six-part ABC series about price Australians pay for personal and national security complex that was filmed across the country over the course of one day  — five years ago! …
