HD Heads-Up: Police Ten 7 Heralds Heroic HD Slate

One of TV2’s most popular series, Police Ten 7, at last is making the switch to HD.

The long-running crimebusters hit will screen in 1080i from the season premiere on February 12.

It will be paired with the return of Highway Patrol while also back that night, in their mid-season premieres, are The Flash and Arrow.

Surprisingly, TV2 will repeat Police Ten 7 after Arrow, at 10.30; in previous years, the same-night re-run has been an hour later.

But this year the network is swapping slots between the reality half-hour and the new season of The Originals, which will air 11pm.

The next night The Originals’ parent show, The Vampire Dairies, returns for its sixth season on a late-night double-bill with season 10 of Supernatural: the latter will air 10.30-ish Fridays and the former 11.30-ish, depending on the running time of the Blockbuster Friday movie.

Meanwhile, another of TV2’s reality hits, Motorway Patrol, resumes in HD in a 7.30 Tuesday slot from February 10, on a double-bill with a new SD season of RBT.
