HD Ratings: Golden Boy Dulls NCIS

Pushing back NCIS to accommodate a Kiwi Comedy Pilot on Tuesday hurt the season finale of the long-running procedural.

It averaged 3.3% of 25-54 year-old compared to the previous week’s double-episode respectively averaging 5.3% and 3.9%.

It suffered from not having The Block NZ (9.4%) as a lead-in, although Golden Boy did average an impressive 5.4%.

But what cost it most was starting halfway through TVNZ 2’s Wentworth, which averaged 4.7% of 25-54s.

Viewership improved opposite TVNZ 2’s 9.30m drama Imposters, which risks late-night demotion after averaging only 1.6% of 25-54 and 1.4% of 18-49.

TVNZ 1’s Shop Well for Less (4.4% of 25-54) out-rated TVNZ 2’s double-episode of The Middle while lead-out Rich House Poor House (4.0% of 25-54) was competitive with Wentworth — as was Coronation Street with the last half-hour of NCIS.

But TVNZ 1’s Seven Sharp lost to Three’s The Project (4.1% vs 5.1%), opposite 2’s Shortland Street (11.1%).

Three won Tuesday night in the 25-54, 18-49 and household shopper demographics while TVNZ 2 topped the 18-39 vote.
