HD Ratings: 9-1-1 Slays Murder
Monday’s season premiere of My Life is Murder was slayed in the core commercial demographics by Three’s 9-1-1.
The Lucy Lawless sleuth series averaged 2.0% of 25-54 year-olds and 1.0% of 18-49s vs 2.8%/1.8% for 9-1-1.
In the 5+ demo, however, Murder averaged 4.1% and 9-1-1 2.3%.
It also was a strong night for 9-1-1: Lone Star, which won the 9.30 hour with a 25-54 average of 2.4% and an 18-49 rating of 1.3%.
And at 7.30 Three’s The Block NZ: Redemption out-rated TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia in the 25-54 demo but not in the 18-49 race.
TVNZ 1’s Fair Go out-rated both while its new stablemate The Check Up narrowly lost to The Block in the 25-54 stakes and to both reality contests in the 18-49 demo.
TVNZ 2’s Snack Masters (Australia) continued to struggle, with 1.2% of 25-54s and 1.0% of 18-49s.
Eden’s Newshub Live at 8pm had one of its better nights (0.6% of 25-54s) while Prime’s premium drama Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber could muster only 0.1% of the same demo.
Duke’s Ten Year Old Tom averaged the same 25-54 percentage whereas the Simpsons and Family Guy re-runs that led into it averaged 0.6%-0.9%.
TVNZ 1 commanded huge key demo shares for the night while Three rated well ahead of TVNZ 2.
Note: These overnight ratings exclude viewership of the networks’ +1 SD channels.
