HD Ratings: Ace Aussie Duo for TVNZ 2

Crikey! MasterChef Australia and Wife Swap Australia are proving to be a top-rating Monday night combo for TVNZ 2.

Last night they won their time slots in the channel’s core commercial demographic of 18-49 year-olds and were competitive with Three’s The Block NZ and 9-1-1 in the 25-54 demo.

MasterChef averaged 4.3% of 18-49s and 5.2% of 25-54s vs 3.9% and 5.3% respectively for The Block.

Wife Swap averaged 2.6% / 2.7% of these key demos vs 2.5% / 3.2% for 9-1-1.

TVNZ 1 started the night ahead in both demos, with Seven Sharp averaging an amazing 7.1% of 25-54s and 5.6% of 18-49s, beating TVNZ 2’s Shortland Street (5.1% / 4.3%) and Three’s The Project (5.1%/ 4.1%).

Fair Go see-sawed with the competition but lead-outs Highway Cops and The Apprentice Aotearoa lagged well behind.

Cops averaged 3.7% of 25-54s and 3.3% of 18-49, and Apprentice 2.0% and 1.7% — which led to It’s Your Fault I’m Fat averaging just 1.5% and 1.4%.

TVNZ 1 regained the lead at 10.30 with 1 News Tonight while Three’s first night of Wimbledon coverage averaged 0.4% from 10.00-midnight; thereafter, it registered 0.0%.

TVNZ 1 won the night’s biggest shares of the key demos, with less than a point separating TVNZ 2 and Three (the former was second with 18-49s and the latter second with 25-54s).
