HD Ratings: Apprentice Builds, Masked Singer Stable

TVNZ 1’s The Apprentice Aotearoa built its viewership on Monday, Three’s The Masked Singer was steady and TVNZ 2’s Popstars lost viewers.

Apprentice averaged 4.3% of 25-54 year-olds, TVNZ 1’s prime audience, and 3.8% of 18-49s vs 2.8% / 1.9% for last week’s season premiere.

It won the 8.30 hour in the 18-49 demographic and narrowly lost to Three’s 9-1-1 in the 25-54 demo.

9-1-1 averaged 4.4% / 3.3%, which was well up on the previous week’s averages despite a slightly smaller lead-in from The Masked Singer NZ (5.8% / 4.7%).

TVNZ 2’s 7.30 rival Popstars averaged only 1.6% / 1.4% while TVNZ 1’s Fair Go (7.3% / 6.6%) and Highway Cops (6.5% / 6.1%) ruled the hour.

TVNZ 2’s local drama Vegas averaged 2.5% / 2.0%, a week-on-week improvement, but lead-out Creamerie (0.9% / 0.7%) dipped slightly.

Three’s 9-1-1-: Lone Star won the 9.30 hour, with 2.7% / 2.3% averages — more than double its viewership of the previous week.

TVNZ 1’s 20/20 finished third for the hour, with 2.0% / 1.1%.

TVNZ 1 and Three dominated the night: the former clocked up a 31.6% share of 25-54s and 31.9% of 18-49s, the latter 28.2% and 28.3%.

  2. Maybe, but I can see another Apprentice. TVNZ 1 seems to be on fire at the moment!
