HD Ratings: Auckland Wives Beat LA Heroes
Bravo’s controversial The Real Housewives of Auckland out-rated TV3’s NCIS: Los Angeles for the first time on Tuesday in the 18-49 demographic.
The reality hour averaged 2.4% of this audience compared to the action hour’s 2.3%.
It was competitive in TV3’s other key demo, 25-54, with NCIS: LA averaging 3.2% against Wives’ 2.5%.
The previous week Wives averaged 2.0% of 25-54s and 1.6% of 18-49s.
Both Wives and LA lagged behind TV2’s season finale of Quantico, which averaged 4.2% of TV2’s 18-49 audience off the back off Shortland Street, The Middle and The Real O’Neals.
But at 9.30, TV One’s Undercover Boss USA dominated in the 18-49 and 25-54 demos while lead-in The Hard Stuff With Nigel Latta won the 8.30 hour with 25-54s.
Prime’s Tuesday line-up was disastrous, with Jericho averaging a trifling 0.1% of 25-54s ahead of Game of Thrones’ 0.9%.
TV One led the night in the 25-54 and 5+ stakes but TV2 was comfortably ahead in the other core demos.
Below are the primetime ratings tables for Tuesday in the 25-54, 18-49 and 5+ contests (the first number under the programme’s title is the rating average and the second number the channel share):
