HD Ratings: Big Lomas Lift for Three
The return of David Lomas Investigates boosted Three’s Wednesday night ratings, helping the network to win the 8.30 hour in the core commercial demographics.
The season premiere averaged a stunning 4.5% of 25-54 year-olds, Three’s target audience, and 2.9% of 18-49s.
TVNZ 2’s Taskmaster NZ averaged 2.7%/2.3% and TVNZ 1’s Location Location Location 1.6%/1.0%.
Three also led the 7.30 hour, when The Block NZ: Redemption averaged 3.7%/2.5% vs 3.3%/2.4% for TVNZ 1’s Give Us a Clue and 3.0%/2.3% for TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia.
But TVNZ 2 owned the 9.30 slot when Guessable (1.8%/1.4%) out-rated Three’s premiere of Million Dollar Murders (1.5%/1.0%) and TVNZ 1’s Coronation Street (0.9%/0.5%).
On the smaller HD channels, Prime’s Red Stag Timber Hunters Club averaged 0.3%/0.2%, Eden’s Where the Wild Men Are 0.1%, Duke’s Police Hour of Duty 0.6% and Whakaata Māori’s Chef 0.2%/0.1%.
TVNZ 1’s stranglehold on the 5.00-7.30 zone ensured it won the night’s biggest key demo shares while Three finished second.
