HD Ratings: Big Wednesday for TVNZ 1

Three’s Wednesday night reign ended this week when TVNZ 1’s line-up proved unbeatable in the 25-54 demographic and dominated in the 18-49 demo.

Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad averaged 6.8% of 25-54s and 4.8% of 18-49s, which was more than double last week’s viewership.

As a result, lead-out Million Pound Cube was up week-on-week, to 4.3% of 25-54s and 3.1% of 18-49s.

Secrets of the Driving Test also got into top gear, with averages of 3.3% / 1.9% ahead of Coronation Street’s 1.9% / 1.3%.

Three’s Bay Patrol averaged 3.4% / 2.3% and Bondi Rescue 3.9% / 2.8% vs 2.0% / 1.6% for TVNZ 2’s Popstars.

TVNZ 2’s Patriot Brains also finished third (2.0% / 1.4%) opposite Cube/Secrets and Three’s The Rookie (3.3% / 2.5%).

Rookie stablemate Hawaii Five-O averaged 2.1% / 1.4% to win the 9.30 hour while TVNZ 2’s Starstruck struck out with 1.3% / 0.8%.

TVNZ 1 led Three by more than 10 points in each of the key demo shares for the night while TVNZ 2 was a distance third.
