HD Ratings: Blind Side Captures Eyeballs

TV2’s The Blind Side steam-rolled TV3’s Night at the Museum when the HD re-runs went head-to-head on Sunday.

The Sandra Bullock Oscar-winner averaged 10.7% – 15.2% of the key demographics and the Ben Stiller comedy, 8.1% – 9.5%.

The latter followed The X Factor NZ, which easily won the 7.00 hour, with 11.5% – 15.8%, while at 8.00, The Food Truck averaged  8.3% – 8.6% and Mike & Molly, 7.4% – 13.1%.

At 8.30, the penultimate episode of Packed to the Rafters rated 5.1% – 7.7%.

Saturday’s return of Ice Road Truckers averaged 4.1% – 5.0% versus 4.1% – 5.6% for Coasters and 3.0% – 4.9% for Dishing Up Australia With Al Brown while Country Calendar, at 7.00, rounded up 4.8% – 8.4%.

The season finale of CSI went out on a high — 5.9% – 7.7% — and the penultimate episode of CSI: NY, 5.4% – 5.9%.

They were competitive with TV2’s movie The Replacements and well ahead of TV One’s re-run of Call the Midwife (1.8% – 2.9%).

The Voices Australia ruled on Friday, with 11.4% – 17.0%, leaving the final of The New Normal with only 3.8% – 4.4% and The Graham Norton Show with 7.3% – 9.0%.

Bones also bowed out on Thursday, with 5.7% – 9.4%, which wasn’t enough to beat Once Upon a Time’s 7.6% – 11.1%; lead-in Chelsea NZ’s Hottest Home Baker rated  4.8% – 7.4% for its semi-final.
