HD Ratings: Bridesmaids Beats Battle
In a busy weekend for network HD movie premieres, Bridesmaids was the winner.
TV3 bowed Bridesmaids after Sunday’s X Factor NZ, where it averaged 6.9% – 8.5% of the key demos to largely win its slot.
It was most popular with adults 18-39 and seesawed with TV One’s Packed to the Rafters and TV2’s movie Battle: Los Angeles among adults 25-54.
Rafters averaged 4.5% – 8% overall and Battle 4.8% – 6.9%.
On Saturday, TV2’s premiere of Limitless (4.2% – 6.4%) was competitive against CSI (3.6% – 6.8%) and CSI: New York (3.5% – 5.9%).
Lead-in Ant and Dec delivered a 4.2% – 6.6% average opposite MasterChef MasterClasses’ 2.8% – 5.8% and Saving Gen-Y’s 1.7% – 2.8% while Country Calendar ruled at 7pm with 5.5% – 9.1%.
The Voice Australia on Friday recorded an unbeatable 10.3% – 14.3%.
That made it more popular than not only TV3’s HD light ent line-up but also the network’s own flagship talent quest, The X Factor NZ, which averaged 10.2% – 12.8% on Sunday – although the latter rated higher with adults 18-39 and 18-49.
