HD Ratings: DWTS Still on Back Foot

Dancing With the Stars was tops with urban Auckland viewers aged 25-54 on Sunday but in all the other major demographics it finished behind TVNZ 1’s Hyundai Country Calendar and Sunday.

The live broadcast averaged 4.6% of Auckland urban vs 3.5% of 25-54s across the country, 2.6% of 18-49s and 4.1% of people 5+.

This was about the same as the previous Sunday except for Auckland urban, which posted a 1.5 rating points hike.

HCC averaged 7.5% of 25-54s and 5.7% of 18-49s and Sunday 5.7%/3.9% while TVNZ 2’s Britain’s Got Talent drummed up 2.0%/1.6% respectively of these core commercial demos.

TVNZ 1’s George Clarke’s Remarkable Renovations and final of The Tower were down week-on-week because of the popularity of Three’s movie San Andreas.

It averaged 2.5%/1.7% to win the 8.30 hour vs 1.8%/1.4% for TVNZ 2’s first movie in The Fast and the Furious franchise.

Eden’s premiere of Dark Waters averaged 0.1%/0.0%, Maori TV’s Radioactive 0.0%/0.0% and Prime’s La Brea 0.0%/0.1% and Yellowstone 0.0%/0.0%.

TVNZ 1 won the night with 30+ shares of the key demos while Three dwarfed TVNZ 2.

TVNZ 1 dominated Saturday evening with Tipping Point Lucky Stars and The Wall but Three’s Ghostbusters II came, saw and kicked ass post-9.00.

TVNZ 1’s final of Our House finished second against the sequel and TVNZ 2’s Mother’s Day third.

Earlier, the original Ghostbusters out-rated TVNZ 2’s premiere of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

On Friday, The Repair Shop won the 7.30 hour for TVNZ 1 in the core demos and Have You Been Paying Attention? the 8.30 hour for TVNZ 2.
