HD Ratings: Eat Well? NZ Squashes Lomas
In a remarkable turnaround from their season premieres, Tuesday’s Eat Well for Less? NZ topped time-slot rival David Lomas Investigates.
TVNZ 1’s Eat Well averaged 5.4% of 25-54-year-olds, the demographic both shows target, and 4.3% of 18-49s vs 3.7% and 3.1% respectively for Three’s Lomas.
It was a week-on-week fall of 2.5 ratings points in the 25-54 demo for Lomas while Eat Well was up just three-tenths of a point.
But harder hit than Lomas at 7.30 was TVNZ 2’s Popstars, which averaged just 1.5% of 25-54s and 1.2% of 18-49s, TVNZ 2’s core audience.
The previous Tuesday Popstars averaged 2.2% of 25-54s and 2.4% of 18-49s.
Leaner ratings for Lomas, however, didn’t stop lead-out NCIS from winning the 8.30 hour in both key demos, with 2.9% of 25-54s and 2.5% of 18-49s vs 2.6% / 1.8% respectively for TVNZ 1’s The Dog House and 1.6% / 1.5% for TVNZ 2’s Have You Been Paying Attention?.
TVNZ 2 regained ground at 9.30, when Naked Attraction won the slot in the major demos while TVNZ 1’s Coronation Street trailed Three’s NCIS: LA.
Earlier, TVNZ 1 dominated with The Chase, 1 News at 6pm and Seven Sharp.
The network went on to win the night’s biggest shares of the 25-54 and 18-49s demos, well ahead of Three while TVNZ 2 was a distant third.

That’s probably because of the family spending $800 on groceries without realising it. I wish I was rich like them 🙂
