HD Ratings: Following Falters But Fox Has Faith
TV One’s serial killer thriller The Following faltered in the ratings on Monday but still drew up to twice as many viewers as Kiwi HD rival The Blue Rose.
The Kevin Bacon drama, which Fox TV today renewed for another season, along with Four’s Raising Hope, New Girl and soon-to-screen The Mindy Project, averaged 3.2% – 6.5% of the major demographics.
While this was down on last week’s 3.0% – 8.2% average, lead-in Criminal Minds rated about the same: 5.9% – 9.8%.
Neither could compete with TV2’s Big Bang Theory hour, which averaged 11.8% – 15.1%.
The Blue Rose, meanwhile, dipped lower in its new 9.30 slot, averaging 2.3% – 3.1% compared to last week’s 1.4% – 4.3% — which means, unlike The Following, it’s unlikely to spring forth again next year.
Earlier in the night, TV One’s reality double-bill of Piha Rescue and Rapid Response narrowly outrated TV3’s Crime Exposed and Territory Cops.

TV3 may still decide to have a second series of The Blue Rose … why should the stupid people who don’t have a good taste in TV shows ruin it for the people who do? 🙂
The Following is quickly turning into the boring … no more for me.
Quite agree. Monday’s ep was a shocker for all the wrong reasons.
Most recent episode of The Following wasn’t the best but I will definitely continued to watch the entire series. Previous episodes have been excellent.
