HD Ratings: Gilded Age Shines for Prime
Prime’s new Tuesday night period drama The Gilded Age is rating better than previous dramas the channel’s aired in the slot.
This week’s episode average 0.4% of Prime’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds, which is an improvement on the 0.0%-0.2% the likes of And Just Like That …, Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol, Your Honor and Succession typically delivered earlier this year.
But lead-out Mare of Easttown, which is one of HBO’s finest dramas in years, couldn’t capitalise on this, averaging just 0.1% of the same demographic.
In the 18-49 demo, both drama series averaged 0.3%.
Gilded Age was up against TVNZ 1’s Unbreakable, which won the 8.30 hour with 2.7% of 25-54s and 2.2% of 18-49s, TVNZ 2’s NCIS: Hawai’i (1.8%/0.9%) and Three’s NCIS (2.1%/1.4%).
NCIS: Los Angeles won the 9.30 hour (1.5%/1.2%) vs 1.3%/1.0% for TVNZ 1’s Coronation Street and 1.1%/0.8% for TVNZ 2’s SEAL Team.
Earlier, TVNZ 1’s Eat Well for Less NZ? (3.9%/2.8%) easily led TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia (3.1%/2.3%) and Three’s The Block NZ: Redemption (3.3%/2.3%).
TVNZ 1 won the night’s biggest core demo shares while Three led TVNZ 2.
