HD Ratings: Girls on Top
TV2’s HD comedies went for broke on Wednesday and helped to curse Sons of Anarchy’s chances against Once Upon a Time.
The most popular of TV2’s quartet wasn’t The Big Bang Theory, which averaged 12.0% – 17.9% of the major demographics, but its lead-out, 2 Broke Girls, which racked up an extraordinary 12.2% – 18.6%.
They left in the dust War on Britain’s Roads (3.0% – 3.9%) and set up lead-out Once Upon a Time (6.3% – 9.6%) to get the upper hand on Sons of Anarchy (5.0% – 7.6%).
TV3’s HD doco wasn’t helped by the final of Richard Hammond’s Miracles of Nature delivering it only 3.7% – 4.5% opposite TV2’s Mom (8.7% – 13.6%) and Two and a Half Men (8.6% – 13.7%).
While TV One’s on-the-move Rake had a better week, averaging 2.5% – 6.4%, lead-out Hostages still rated only 1.0% – 3.4%.
Wednesday’s peak-hour HD channel ratings and shares were:
- Adults 18-49: TV One, 5.2 rating/18.6 share; TV2, 9.9 rating/35.3 share; TV3, 5.5 rating/19.8 share
- Adults 18-39: TV One, 4.1 rating/16.1 share; TV2, 9.1 rating/36.2 share; TV3, 5.3 rating/21.2 share
- Adults 25-54: TV One, 5.7 rating/19.3 share; TV2, 10.0 rating/33.7 share; TV3, 6.9 rating/18.3 share
- HHS: TV One, 8.9 rating/23.7 share; TV2, 14.4 rating/38.3 share; TV3, 6.9 rating/18.3 share.
