HD Ratings: H5O First at 9.30

TV3’s Hawaii Five-O won the 9.30 hour on Wednesday, when it beat TV2’s The Mysteries of Laura for the first time in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.

That was despite the opposition having a much stronger lead-in from TV2’s comedies than H5O did from Chicago Med.

The hospital drama was more popular than TV One’s Brief Encounters but wasn’t helped by its lead-in, Grand Designs Australia, finishing a distant third.

TV2 romped home in all the core commercial demos while TV One beat TV3 in the 18-49 and 25-54 stakes.

Below are the primetime ratings tables for Wednesday in the 25-54, 18-49 and 5+ contests (the first number under the programme’s title is the rating average and the second number the channel share):
