HD Ratings: Heat Goes On MKR
In only its second broadcast, The Block NZ: Firehouse out-rated My Kitchen Rules.
Tuesday’s episode averaged 7.2% of 25-54 year-olds (versus MKR’s 5.8%) and 6.5% of 18-49s (vs 4.7%).
It also led MKR by about two ratings points in the 18-39 and household shopper demographics, and left Outback Truckers in its dust.
TBNZ set up Three to be all conquering, with lead-outs NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles winning their slots in the four core commercial demos.
The NCIS duo averaged twice as many 25-54 viewers as Will & Grace and Grey’s Anatomy.
TVNZ 1 newcomer Chaos at the Castle was more competitive with NCIS — 3.1% vs 4.0% — and finished second at 8.30 in the other key demos.
Its lead-out, 20/20, averaged 1.3% opposite NCIS: LA’s 2.1%, Grey’s 1.2% and The Resident’s 0.4%.
The ratings gap narrowed between the network news bulletins but 1 News still dominated in the top demos while Seven Sharp continued to lead The Project.
Three edged out TVNZ 1 for the night’s biggest share of 25-54s but easily won in the other core demos.
