HD Ratings: Hello? Adele’s a Big Hit
An Audience With Adele was music to the ears of TVNZ 2 programmers, winning the 7.30 Tuesday hour in each of the core commercial demographics.
It averaged 5.0% of 25-54 year-olds and 3.9% of 18-49s, scorching both Three’s MasterChef NZ (2.3%/1.8%) and TVNZ 1’s The Casketeers (3.4%/2.1%) and Lap of Luxury (2.2%/1.2%).
Lead-out NCIS: Hawai’i halved Adele’s viewership but still won the 8.30 hour with 2.4% of 25-54s and 2.0% of 18-49s.
Three’s 8.30 procedural NCIS averaged 1.6%/1.2% and TVNZ 1’s First Responders 2.3%/1.4%.
NCIS: Los Angeles at 9.30 (1.2%/1.0%) was competitive with TVNZ 2’s FBI International (1.1%/0.9%), and both dethroned TVNZ 1’s Coronation Street (0.6%/0.5%).
Eden’s Can I Improve My Memory? mustered 0.2% of the core demos while Prime’s And Just Like That … averaged 0.2%/0.1%.
Earlier, TVNZ 1 dominated evening viewing but TVNZ 2’s comedies-and-soaps line-up improved after successive nights of sub-par ratings, with Shortland Street bouncing back from a shocking 25-54 low of 1.9% on Thursday to 3.1%.
Combined with Adele’s popularity, this uptick helped TVNZ 2 to post its highest 25-54 and 18-49 shares in weeks, finishing behind TVNZ 1 but ahead of Three.

YUCK, I think Adele is overrated. I do think Ms Marvel is excellent though, it’s so charming and fun. The best Marvel show ever ?
All mdern pop is over-rated. You gotta be kiddingabout Ms Marvel. Ms M is pure Disney in the worse way. Hawkeye leaves this for dead.
