HD Ratings: High Marks for School Mums

TVNZ 1’s Tuesday night premiere of High School Mums won the 8.30 hour in all the core commercial demographics.

It averaged 4.0% of both the network’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds, and viewers 5+.

That was well ahead of the 25-54 viewership for TVNZ 2’s How to Look Good Naked (2.4%) and Three’s NCIS: Los Angeles (2.9%).

The documentary series benefitted from having the top-rating season final of Eat Well for Less? NZ as its lead-in.

No wonder TVNZ 1 already has renewed the series and is inviting households of at least two people in Auckland and Waikato to take part (TVNZ.co.nz/apply).

It dominated the 7.30 hour, with TVNZ 2’s MKR: The Rivals and Three’s David Lomas Investigates battling it out for second place (Lomas was more popular in the 25-54 and 18-49 demos while MKR was preferred by 18-39s and household shoppers with kids).

TVNZ 1’s grip on all the major demos stretched from The Chase through to 20/20, giving it a clean sweep for the night.

Here are Tuesday’s 20 most-watched primetime programmes on the free-to-air HD channels (excluding +1 and in order of their 5+ rating and audience share):
