HD Ratings: Inattention Costs TVNZ 2
TVNZ 2’s Have You Been Paying Attention? isn’t getting as much attention in its new Tuesday night slot.
This week’s episode averaged fewer viewers in the core commercial demographics than the competition on TVNZ 1 and Three.
In the demo that matters most to TVNZ 2, 18-49 year-olds, it averaged 1.6% and in the 25-54 demo, which TVNZ 1 and Three target, 2.0%.
TVNZ 1’s Lap of Luxury averaged 3.7% of 25-54s and 3.0% of 18-49s, and its lead-out, Border Security, 3.5% and 2.7%.
The last half-hour of Three’s Married at First Sight Australia averaged 4.4% of 25-54s and 3.7% of 18-49s.
MAFS’ popularity is crushing The Bachelor NZ on TVNZ 2, which also lost to TVNZ 1’s Dog Squad Puppy School and Dog Squad.
Consequently, HYBPA has a weaker lead-in their either Lap of Luxury or Three’s NCIS, which averaged 2.1% of 25-54s and 1.6% of 18-49s.
The strength of its early evening line-up, and Coronation Street winning the 9.30 hour in both key demos, meant TVNZ 1 swept the night in all the major demos.
