HD Ratings: Lomas Eats Well for Lunch

Three’s season premiere of David Lomas Investigates took a big bite out of TVNZ 1’s resumption of Eat Well for Less? NZ on Tuesday.

Lomas averaged 6.1% of Three’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds, and 5.2% of its next key commercial demographic, 18-49s.

EWFL mustered 5.1% of the former and 3.8% of the latter. It inherited a bigger audience from Seven Sharp (5.9% of 25-54s) than Lomas did from The Project (3.3%) but quickly lost ground.

This led to Lomas lead-out NCIS out-rating TVNZ 1’s season premiere of The Dog House in both of the key demos: it averaged 3.2% of each whereas Dog rounded up 2.0% of 25-54s and 1.7% of 18-49s.

Dog finished third at 8.30, after TVNZ 2’s Have You Been Paying Attention?, which overcame a low lead-in from Popstars — 2.4% of 18-49s, 2.2% of 25-54s — to average 2.5% of 18-49s and 2.4% of 25-54s.

Its lead-out, the return of Naked Attraction, went on to win the 9.30 hour, with 1.7% of 18-49s and 1.9% of 25-54s.

NCIS: LA was competitive, on 1.4% of each, while Coronation Street finished third.

Meanwhile, Prime’s 7.30 premiere of Michael Palin: Travels of a Lifetime averaged a mere 0.5% of 25-54s and 0.4% of 18-49s.

TVNZ 1 won the night’s biggest share of 25-54s but Three was tops with 18-49s.
