HD Ratings: Lomas Wins Wednesday

Three’s David Lomas Investigates continued its winning streak on Wednesday when it won the 8.30 hour in the core commercial demographics.

It averaged of 3.2% of 25-54 year-olds and 2.4% of 18-49s to beat TVNZ 1’s George Clarke’s Flipping Fast (1.8%/1.5%) and TVNZ 2’s movie Fool’s Gold (1.7%/1.4%).

Lomas lead-in The Block NZ: Redemption also challenged TVNZ 1’s Beat the Chasers, with each averaging3.5%/2.8% of the key demos vs 2.6%/2.5% for TVNZ 2’s Celebrity Treasure Island.

Three and TVNZ 1 also see-sawed at 9.30, when Coronation Street averaged 1.1%/0.9% and Million Dollar Murders 1.0%/0.6%.

Duke’s Police Hour of Duty averaged 0.4%/0.5% at 8.30 and its lead-out Disasters Engineered 0.4%/0.3% while Whakaata Māori’s movie Mahana couldn’t top 0.0%.

It was business as usual earlier, when TVNZ 1’s The Chase, 1 News at 6pm and Seven Sharp easily led the competition.

TVNZ 1 won the night with peak demo shares of around 27% but Three finished a close second with 26.0% of 25-54s. It also averaged far more 18-49s than TVNZ 2.

  1. Hi Philip, I just found out that the USA are having the Guy Williams Zorro added to Disney+ in October so just wondering if you think New Zealand will be getting it also? It’s one of my favourite childhood shows. I love it ?

  3. YAY, that’s good news Philip. I guess my love for superhero movies and shows started way back then with Zorro. Also Spider-Man : No Way Home is excellent on Prime Video ?
