HD Ratings: MasterChef Wins Gold
After trailing The Block NZ all week, TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia won the 7.30 hour with 25-54 year-olds on Thursday opposite TVNZ 1’s Tokyo Olympics.
It averaged 4.4% of the core commercial demo versus 4.0% for the games and 2.5% for Three’s LEGO Masters (USA).
It lost to TVNZ 1 in the 18-49 demo, when it averaged 2.9%, but still beat Three’s 2.1% for LEGO.

ACA could muster only 1.4% / 1.3% and Coro, in its temporary home, 0.7% of each major demo.
Earlier, Shortland Street narrowly won its 7.00 berth opposite Seven Sharp and The Project in the 18-49 demo but lost to the former in the 25-54 stakes.
TVNZ 1 won the night with 28+ shares of the key demos while Three ranked second with shares in the high teens,
