HD Ratings: Netball and Beach Games Win for TVNZ 2

TVNZ 2’s Celebrity Treasure Island hit a season high on Monday while the network’s delayed Silver Ferns game won its slot in the target 18-49 demographic.

The Cadbury Netball Series, which aired earlier on Sky, averaged 3.1% of 25-54s and 2.2% of 18-49s.

In the 25-54 demo, it seesawed with two shows it overlapped: TVNZ 1’s My Life is Murder and Three’s Lego Masters Australia.

The latter averaged 4.7% of 25-54s and 4.2% of 18-49s vs 8.0% / 6.0% for CTI,  4.4% / 3.1% for Fair Go and 3.0% / 2.1% for Border Patrol.

CTI’s averages were up significantly on the previous Monday, when it rated 6.0% / 5.0%, and the highest so far.

At 8.30, Murder averaged a sub-par 2.7% / 1.3% against 2.0% / 1.5% for Head High on Three.

Earlier, Three’s The Project had an exceptionally strong night, narrowly beating TVNZ 1’s Seven Sharp in the 18-49 demo (5.0% vs 4.0%) and challenging it for 25-54s (6.4% vs 7.2%).

But 1 News at Six continued to command a solid lead over Newshub Live at 6pm.

And at 4.00, TVNZ 1’s coverage of the Auckland level 3-lockdown reveal drew twice as many 25-54 and 18-49 viewers as Three’s, averaging 10.1% / 7.5%.

TVNZ 1 again won the night’s biggest key demo shares but they were much more tightly contested than usual, with TVNZ 2 and Three only a few points behind and the former just pipping the latter.

Note: These overnight ratings exclude viewership of the networks’ +1 SD channels.
