HD Ratings: Networks’ Tuesday Staples Neck-and-Neck
Tuesday continues to be one of the week’s most competitive nights, with all three HD networks see-sawing in the ratings.
TV2 made big week-on-week gains with household shoppers with kids while TV3 won the night with its target audience, 25-54 year-olds.
The up-and-down nature of the night was highlighted at 8.30, when TV2’s Step Dave (6.0% – 9.8%) rebounded from last week’s low to be tops with household shoppers and adults 18-39 and 18-49.
But TV3’s NCIS rated well (4.5% – 8.0%), winning in the 25-54 demo and losing by only 0.1 of a point in the 18-49 race.
At 9.30, NCIS: LA (3.1% – 6.3%) won the hour with adults 25-54 while the Hamptons’ wedding of the year (above) on Revenge (3.6% – 6.5%) scored with the 18-39 demo and Women Behind Bars: Life and Death (2.9% – 8.0%) dominated with adults 18-49 and HHS.
TV One’s 7.30 wildlife special Super Giant Animals averaged 5.8% – 8.2% but was beaten in each of the key demos except HHS by TV3’s Grand Designs (6.0% – 8.4%) and in all of them by TV2’s Nabbed (9.1% – 17.0%) and Cops Uncut (7/0% – 14.0%).
