HD Ratings: Solid Start for New House Show

TVNZ 1’s Thursday premiere of My Impossible House seesawed with TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia and Three’s Lego Masters USA in the key commercial demographics.

It averaged 4.0% of 25-54 year-olds vs 4.2% for MasterChef and 3.6% for Lego.

In the 18-49 demo, it averaged 3.3% vs MasterChef’s 3.4% and Lego’s 3.3%.

MasterChef’s narrow win set up TVNZ 2 to dominate the rest of the night with Police Ten 7, Renters and A Current Affair.

Police averaged twice as many 25-54 viewers as Three’s Demolition Down Under — 3.1% vs 1.6% — while TVNZ 1’s 10 Years Younger in 10 Days averaged 2.4%.

It was a similar trend in the 18-49 demo.

TVNZ 2 was also strong at 7.00, when Shortland Street out-rated Seven Sharp and The Project in both core demos.

Three’s new-look Thursday night woes continued with Cocaine Trade Exposed: The Invisibles averaging just 1.4% of 25-54s and 0.8% of 18-49s to finish third at 9.30.

Prime ended its Thursday night movie season with another bargain bin disaster: National Security averaged 0.7% of 25-54s and 0.0% of 18-49s.

TVNZ 1 won the night with the biggest demo shares while Three trailed TVNZ 2.
