HD Ratings: The Wheel TVNZ 1’s Midweek Weakest Link

UK game shows Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You? continued to win for TVNZ 2 on Wednesday but TVNZ 1’s The Wheel is that network’s weakest link.

Taskmaster averaged 3.0% of 25-54 year-olds and 2.7% of 18-49s on the back of Celebrity Treasure Island’s 6.0% / 4.3%.

It was challenged by Three’s Love Or List It Australia (2.9% / 2.2%), which out-rated TVNZ 1’s Rich House Poor House (2.7% / 1.7%).

RHPH lead-in The Wheel averaged 3.0% / 2.0% of the core commercial demographics to finish third behind Three’s Married at First Sight UK (3.9% / 3.2%) — despite a much bigger lead-in from Seven Sharp: 5.9% / 3.7% vs 3.6% / 2.8% for Three’s The Project.

TVNZ 1 also finished third for the 9.30 hour, when Coronation Street averaged 1.0% / 0.7% against Would I Lie to You’s 2.1% / 1.8% and 2.0% / 1.4% for Three’s Death Row series.

TVNZ 2’s line-up won the night’s biggest share of the channel’s target demo, 18-49s, but the popularity of TVNZ 1’s pre-Wheel schedule delivered it the biggest 25-54 share.

Three finished third in each but all the networks were competitive.

Note: These overnight ratings exclude viewership of the networks’ +1 SD channels.
