HD Ratings: Three Finishes Third on Thursday

Three’s Thursday ratings woes continued this week, when none of its post-7.30 programming could reach 2% of its target audience, 25-54 year-olds.

Newshub Live at 6pm averaged just 3.8% and The Project 2.9%.

But thereafter the highest average was 1.7% for Rabble Rousers and New Zealand Today.

Comedians Giving Lectures and the documentary Secrets of Sugar Baby Dating each averaged 0.8%.

The 18-49 averages ranged from 0.3% for Comedians to 1.2% for Rabble; The Project averaged 2.0% and Newshub 2.5%.

TVNZ 1’s dominated the night, with 1 News averaging 7.7% of 25-54s and 6.5% of 18-49s, Seven Sharp 4.7%/3.6%, Dream Kitchens and Bathrooms 3.4%/2.7%, Rich House Poor House 2.1%/1.6% and Coronation Street 1.4%/1.3%.

TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia was its most popular show of the night, averaging 3.5%/2.5%.

But Ten 7 Aotearoa could nab only 1.5%/1.3% and Highway Patrol 2.3%/1.9% ahead of The Walkers’ 1.5%/1.4%.

Duke’s Jaws 2 averaged 0.8%/0.3% while Prime’s most watched programme post-7.30 was Bull (0.4%/0.3%).

TVNZ 1 won the night with 30% shares of the key demos and TVNZ 2 had around 18% of each. It narrowly beat Three in the 25-54 demo and was nearly three points ahead in the 18-49 demo.

Note: These overnight ratings exclude viewership of the networks’ +1 SD channels.
