HD Ratings: TV2 Drama Needs Resurrecting?

Viewers are falling out of love with TV2’s hot new drama Resurrection — although Thursday’s episode still comfortably won its slot.

While the biggest new drama launch in three years averaged 6.6% – 10.7% of the major demographics to beat the last half-hour of TV3’s X Factor Australia and TV One’s Agent Anna (4.1% – 6.5%), it was well down on two weeks ago, when it averaged 11.9% – 21.5%, and last weeks’ 7.4% -14.8%.

Agent Anna bounced back from previous weeks’ lows off the back of lead-in Restoration Man (4.1% – 8.5%).

Restoration Man out-rated X Factor in all the key demos except 18-39 but was overshadowed by TV2’s Police Ten-7 (11.6% – 14.4%) and Code: 1 (9.6% – 11.1%).

Thursday’s peak-hour HD channel ratings and shares were:

• A18-49: TV One, 5.1 rating/17.7 share; TV2, 8.1 rating/28.0 share; TV3, 4.4 rating/15.1 share
• A18-39: TV One, 4.6 rating/16.1 share; TV2, 8.2 rating/29.1 share; TV3, 4.8 rating/17.0 share
• A25-54: TV One, 6.7 rating/20.4 share; TV2, 8.6 rating/26.2 share; TV3, 5.1 rating/15.7 share
• HHS/k: TV One, 7.8 rating/20.2 share; TV2, 12.6 rating/32.5 share; TV3, 6.5 rating/16.9 share.

On Wednesday, TV One’s Britain’s Biggest Hoarders averaged 3.9% – 5.0% to improve on predecessor One Born Every Minute.

But it was still well behind TV2’s My Kitchen Rules (13.4% – 16.4%), The Big Bang Theory (10.7% – 15.3%) and the season finale of 2 Broke Girls (7.7% – 11.4%).

But Brooklyn Nine-Nine continues to be the weak link, averaging 3.9% – 4.5%.

Even so, the cop comedy stil easily beat TV One’s Nashville (1.2% – 3.3%) and TV3’s premiere of Stacey Dooley Investigates (2.0% – 4.5%).

Wednesday’s peak-hour HD channel ratings and shares were:

• A18-49: TV One, 5.8 rating/19.5 share; TV2, 10.3 rating/34.7 share; TV3, 3.6 rating/12.3 share
• A18-39: TV One, 4.9 rating/17.4 share; TV2, 10.6 rating/37.5 share; TV3, 3.4 rating/12.1 share
• A25-54: TV One, 7.3 rating/21.8 share; TV2, 10.8 rating/32.4 share; TV3, 4.6 rating/13.9 share
• HHS/k: TV One, 8.6 rating/22.9 share; TV2, 13.0 rating/34.6 share; TV3, 6.3 rating/16.6 share.
