HD Ratings: TV2 Top of the Pops

The live season finale of The Voice Australia helped TV2 to win Monday night in all the key demographics, although week-on-week its peak-hour ratings were down except among 25-54 year-olds.

The Voice averaged 5.2% – 7.4% of the key demos, which was solid for post-9.30 but well below what the series had averaged in its earlier Friday and Sunday slots.

It capped a clean peak-hour sweep for TV2, with Shortland Street averaging 12.7% – 16.4%, My Kitchen Rules 12.4% – 15.7% and a one-off Monday broadcast of The Big Bang Theory 8.6% – 10.8%.

As for the also-rans, TV One’s Border Security (5.6% – 9.2%) and The Force (7.0% – 9.5%) out-rated TV3’s Drug Bust (4.8% – 5.8%) and Road Madness (4.3% – 5.1%).

And at 8.30, TV3’s re-run of 2 Fast 2 Furious (3.8% – 4.3%) seesawed with TV One’s Criminal Minds (2.9% – 6.4%) and Intelligence (1.8% – 4.3%) in the 18-39 stakes but lost to the crime dramas in the other demos.

TV3’s previous airing of 2 Fast 2 Furious, just over a year ago in the same slot, clocked up 4.5% – 5.9%.

Monday’s peak-hour HD channel ratings and shares were:

• A18-49: TV One, 6.4 rating/21.3 share; TV2, 10.2 rating/34.0 share; TV3, 5.2 rating/17.4 share
• A18-39: TV One, 5.3 rating/18.2 share; TV2, 10.5 rating/36.0 share; TV3, 5.6 rating/19.3 share
• A25-54: TV One, 8.1 rating/24.0 share; TV2, 10.7 rating/31.9 share; TV3, 6.0 rating/17.9 share
• HHS/k: TV One, 8.7 rating/25.8 share; TV2, 12.7 rating/37.7 share; TV3, 6.1 rating/18.2 share.
