HD Ratings: Viewers Sample Snackmasters Oz

Monday’s premiere of Snackmasters Australia couldn’t beat either of the 9-1-1 dramas it overlapped in the key commercial demographics.

It averaged 1.5% of 25-54 year-olds, the audience Three targets, and 1.1% of TVNZ 2’s core 18-49 viewership.

9-1-1 averaged 2.1%/1.3% of these demos and 9-1-1 Lone Star 1.3% of each.

TVNZ 1’s The World’s Most Luxurious Holidays also narrowly out-rated Snackmasters in the 25-54 stakes but lost to it among 18-49s.

Earlier, TVNZ 2’s MasterChef Australia averaged 3.1%/2.5% of the core demos vs 3.3%/2.2% for Three’s The Block NZ: Redemption.

TVNZ 1’s Fair Go beat the opening half-hours of both, with 4.2%/3.0%, while lead-ins 1 News at 6pm and Seven Sharp easily won their slots.

Lead-out Joanna Lumley’s Great Cities of the World averaged 2.4%/1.4%. It dominated among 25-54s but trailed in the 18-49 competition.

Prime’s closing night coverage of the Commonwealth Games generated less interest than during the event, peaking at 1.7% of 25-54s, but still significantly boosted the channel’s Monday night viewership.

TVNZ 1 won the night with the biggest key demo shares while Three finished well ahead of TVNZ 2.

Note: These overnight ratings exclude viewership of the networks’ +1 SD channels.
