HD Ratings: Wrong Direction for One Lane Bridge
Kiwi drama One Lane Bridge again came up short on a keenly-contested Monday when it finished behind My Kitchen Rules and The Rookie.
TVNZ 1’s crime thriller couldn’t even top 1.0% of the core commercial demographics.
Week-on-week viewership slipped from 1.5% of 25-54 year-olds for the season premiere to 0.9%, and from 1.1% of 18-49s to 0.6%.
Its prospects weren’t helped by lead-in Travel Man averaging just 1.7%/1.2% on the back of a sub-par 2.9%/1.8% for Fair Go.
TVNZ 2’s MKR averaged an unbeatable 3.1%/2.2% against Three’s Lego Masters (2.9%/2.0%) and the opening half-hour of The Rookie.
Three’ procedural averaged 1.9%/1.0% ahead of Special Victims Unit’s time slot-winning 1.6%/0.8%.
TVNZ 2’s Ambulance averaged 1.8%/1.0% and its lead-out, Australian Survivor, 0.6%/0.4%.
They overlapped with TVNZ 1’s 20/20 (0.7%/0.6%) and 1 News Tonight (0.5%/0.6%); Three’s Newshub Late averaged 0.9%/0.4%.
Eden’s Emergency Rescue Air, Land and Sea averaged 0.2%, Prime’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty 0.2%/0.1%, Duke’s Hartland USA 0.3%/0.2% and Whakaata Māori’s The Australian Dream 0.2%/0.1%.
Three won the night with a 26.5 share of 25-54s vs TVNZ 1’s 23.0 and TVNZ 2’s 21.2; it also won the 18-49 peak demo: 25.2 vs TVNZ 1’s 21.9 and TVNZ 2’s 19.4.
Note: These overnight ratings exclude viewership of the networks’ +1 SD channels.

I wonder the 5+ ratings for One Lane Bridge is? Probably beat Ambulance Australia in the ratings and Fair Go would have achieved 500,000 viewers.
One Lane Bridge averaged 2.6% of 5+ vs 2.8% for MKR and 1.8% for The Rookie. Ambulance Australia averaged 1.8%.
Watched a few episodes online, while ok it didn’t seem to have enough material for a second series.
Let alone a third, it would seem.
