HDTV Heads-Up: June 9-15
The networks’ HD cup will runneth over on June 10, when TV3’s network HD premiere of Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones airs opposite TV2’s re-run of Twilight and TV One’s launch of another Audi NZ Sunday Theatre season.
Jackson’s dramatisation of the Alice Sebold novel about a murdered 14-year-old who watches over her family stars Hanna’s Saoirse Ronan, Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci.
TV One’s four-week local drama showcase will open with Safe House, which dramatises one woman’s experiences on NZ’s witness protection programme during the 1980s.
It stars Billy’s Morgana O’Reilly, This Is Not My Life’s Erroll Shand and Peter Elliott.
The week starting June 9 also is notable for:

✮ Monday’s HD repeat of the movie Eagle Eye (TV3, 8.30).
