HDTV Ratings: April 19-20
Last night’s Hawaii Five-0 suffered some of its lowest ratings yet, which means the series soon will be as washed up as The Event and The Good Wife.
TV3 will not be able to sustain a primetime drama that keeps haemorrhaging viewers like Five-0 is doing.
Last night’s episode drew only 3.2% of 18-49 year-olds and 3.5% of 25-54 year-olds – virtually half the viewership of lead-in 60 Minutes – while HD rivals The Big Bang Theory and Cougar Town rated three to four times higher.
At 9.30pm, Sons of Anarchy more than doubled Five-0’s viewership in these demographics.
Meanwhile, the ratings for Tuesday’s Go Girls were down 2-3 points on previous weeks: 12.7% of 18-39 year-olds, its target audience; 10.9% of 18-49; 10.6% of 25-54; and 13.8% of household shoppers with kids.
But the show still comfortably won its slot whereas HD stablemate Off the Map was beaten in all the key demos by SVU.
