HDTV Ratings: April 2

Homeland resurged in the ratings on Monday, averaging 8.3% of  25-54 year-olds to trail TVNZ’s HD rivals by only a couple of points.

This was the gripping spy drama’s strongest performance yet with its target audience.

It also scored a solid 18-49 rating — 7.4% — that put it only a point behind TV One’s Criminal Minds, although TV2’s Desperate Housewives led by 3.2 points.

After a couple of see-sawing weeks, Housewives won in every demo, and is particularly popular among household shoppers: 14.3% compared to Minds‘ 11.6% and Homeland’s 7.4%.

The same was true of Housewives’ 9.30pm HD stablemate Revenge, which was 2-3 times more popular than TV One’s Person of Interest and TV3’s CSI.

Earlier in the night, TV3’s Modern Family at last is consistently rating above 7.0% of the key demos, making it 1-2 points more popular than HD lead-in Last Man Standing.
