HDTV Ratings: February 28

TV3’s Monday HD line-up is starting to look bigger, better and stronger in the ratings.

Last night’s episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was the season’s most watched while stablemate The Almighty Johnsons posted some of its best ratings since its premiere.

CSI drew 8.1% of 18-49 year-olds (versus 7.7% the previous week), 8.8% of 25-54 (vs 7.6%) and 12.3% of household shoppers with kids (vs 10.4%).

HD rival Desperate Housewives, which screened opposite it on TV2, was steady in 18-39 (13.4%), 18-49 (12.7%) and 25-54 (13.3%) and up with HHS/kids (17.4%).

However, its HD partner, Brothers and Sisters, dropped sharply against The Almighty Johnsons, which won the 9.30pm hour in the major demos, with 9.5% of 18-39, 9.1% of 18-49, 9.9% of 25-54 and 13.5% of HHS/kids.

TV3’s other local HD show, Bigger Better Faster Stronger, also was up on previous weeks, with 5.9% of 18-49, 6.5% of 25-54 and 7.6% of HHS/kids – although still trailed third behind TV2’s Amazing Race and TV One’s Piha Rescue.

TV One’s Criminal Minds, meanwhile, was up in 18-49 but down in 25-54 and HHS/kids (where it lost to CSI).
