HDTV Ratings: Home Alone 2 Rates Through the Roof

Holy cow! TV3’s HD premiere of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York helped the network to win Thursday night when it demolished most of the competition.

The 1992 blockbuster drew 9.7% of 18-49 year-olds (compared to The Vampire Diaries’ 6.4% on TV2), 9.1% of 25-54 year-olds (vs 6.1%) and 12.9% of household shoppers with kids (vs 10.5%).

Curiously, the viewership was much stronger than for the previous week’s HD premiere of the original Home Alone.
