HDTV Ratings: January 11-15

Last night’s HD re-run of Kung Fu Panda didn’t have enough punch to dent the appeal of TV One’s new-look line-up.

The ‘toon did out-rate TV2’s family movie, Race to Witch Mountain, in the channel’s 18-39 and household shoppers with kids demographics but lost to it in other key demos.

It averaged 7.6% of 18-39s (versus Witch Mountain’s 6.5%), 8.9% of HHS/kids (vs 8.8%), 6.7% of 25-54s (vs 8.1%) and 7.0% of 18-49s (vs 7.7%).

TV3’s SD re-run of Sione’s Wedding helped to redress the balance while on Friday the network won the night with The X Factor Australia and HD lynchpins The Graham Norton Show and Come Fly With Me.

Wednesday’s instalment of TV2’s Falling Skies was the lowest-rated yet.

It averaged only 4.1% of 18-39s, 5.9% of 18-49s, 7.0% of 25-54s and 4.9% of HHS/kids, and lost decisively to TV3’s SD re-run of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Viewership of TV One’s Keeping Up With the Joneses also continues to fall, with Saturday’s episode slipping to only 6.4% of the network’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds.
