HDTV Ratings: June 14

After a slow start, Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms has kick-started its ratings.

Wednesday’s episode three was the highest rating yet, averaging 8.8%-10.4% of the major demographics compared to 6.5%-7.8% the previous week.

While it was still miles behind TV2’s HD comedy duo of The Big Bang Theory and Happy Endings, it overtook TV One’s Undercover Boss in each of the key demos.

However, the better numbers didn’t rev up HD lead-out Breakout Kings.

It averaged 5.4%-7.5% compared to the 6.5%-7.8% for the previous week’s episode, which guest starred Prison Break’s Robert Knepper.

Even so, it out-rated TV One’s HD rival Castle, which averaged 3.5%-6.6%, in every key demo except 25-54.

Another TV3 series, The GC, had an exceptionally strong night with household shoppers and 18-39 year-olds.

It averaged 15.5% of HHS, compared to 2 Broke Girls’ 14.2%, and 12.3% of 18-39 (vs 2 Broke Girls’ 10.9%). And in the other key demos, it trailed by only 2-3 points.

Meanwhile, Big Bang was down a couple of points in all demos except 25-54 while Shortland Street again reigned supreme, averaging 16.5%-20.4%.
