HDTV Ratings: June 20-21
TV3’s HD presentation of the Australian telemovie, Blood Brothers, was clobbered by the competition, including Prime’s season finale of Downton Abbey.
The latter drew 5% of 25-54 year-olds, the demographic both networks chase, compared with Blood Brothers’ 4.7%, and 8.2% of household shoppers with kids, compared with BB’s 6.2%.
But TV2’s HD double-bill of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice dwarfed both, with two-to-three times as many viewers.
TV2’s Monday night HD stablemates, Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters, continue to dominate, although not by as wide a margin.
Housewives drew 12.6% of 25-54 year-olds (compared with Criminal Minds’ 9.9% and CSI’s 8.9%), and B&S, 7.2% (compared with Castle’s 7.8% and Nurse Jackie’s 5.2%).
Nurse Jackie was more popular than Castle with HHS/kids but B&S was tops in this demo.

LOL@TV3! Who was the genius that pulled NCIS: LA to screen this third-rate TV movie? Fail!
