HDTV Ratings: March 4-6

North's Marcus Lush

Marcus Lush’s HD walkabout, North, has got a second wind in the ratings, with viewership of last night’s episode up on previous weeks’.

It won the 7pm slot opposite Two and a Half Men in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics, and was barely a rating point behind it in the household-shoppers-with-kids demo.

In all of these demos, it thrashed TV3’s HD sitcom, Modern Family, pulling up to twice the audience and, with 25-54 year-olds, rated as high as 14.5%.

TV3’s HD premiere of its dated Saturday night date movie, the 2001 release, Someone Like You, also drew barely half the viewership of TV2’s American Idol and Eraser double-bill.

It was a similar story for TV3’s HD double-bill of Glee and The Graham Norton Show on Friday, which was roughly out-rated 2:1 by TV2’s three-hour Idol special in the key demos.

Kiwi HD comedy Super City drew 4%-4.6% of these viewers, which was more 18-49 year-olds than the previous week but fewer HHS/kids.
