HDTV Ratings: May 30

The best HD show on TV last night was the least-watched.

Season three of Nurse Jackie opened to solid if unspectacular ratings opposite exceptionally high viewership of Brothers & Sisters.

The TV2 drawcard was watched by 10.7% of 18-49 year-olds, 10.5% of 25-54 year-olds and 15.3% of household shoppers with kids.

TV3’s dark comedy about a junkie nurse drew about half of this viewership, with ratings similar to last week’s season finale of Californication.

However, it received a bigger lead-in from CSI, with the crime show beating TV One’s Criminal Minds in the 18-49 and HHS/kids demos, although both distantly trailed TV2’s Desperate Housewives.

TV3’s Drug Bust was down a couple of points on the previous week, and lost to TV2’s My House My Castle in the 18-49 stakes, but still drew substantially more viewers than the season finale of TV One’s Situation Critical.

TV One’s Castle was up sharply, with 8.1% of 18-48 year-olds (compared to 4.5% last week), 9.3% of 25-54 year-olds (6.5%) and 8.9% of HHS/kids (6.1%).
