HDTV Ratings: October 30-November 1
Expect TV One to pull Person of Interest from its Thursday line-up after a second week of disastrous ratings for the HD re-run.
Thursday’s episode averaged a shockingly low 2.0% – 3.8% of key demographics.
It was most popular with TV One’s target audience, 25-54 year-olds, but still drew half the viewership of lead-in Coronation Street and barely a third of lead-out Mrs Brown’s Boys.
It was another bad night for Rove LA on TV3, which averaged only 1.2% – 1.8% of key demos — well below what TV2’s Chuck averaged an hour later (3.2% – 3.7%).
The night’s top HD performers were Shortland Street (12.1% – 15.0%) and Motorway Patrol (9.7% – 13.4%).
On Wednesday, Underbelly: Badness bowed out with 6.1% – 7.3%, following The Block’s 6.2% – 7.1% and ahead of The Killing’s 1.7% – 2.3%.
TV2 dominated the night with The Middle (11.8% – 13.3%), The Big Bang Theory (13.7% – 14.4%), Cougar Town (9.3% – 11.3%) and Revolution (5.1% – 7.2%).
TV One’s re-run of Criminal Minds managed only 1.3% – 4.4% after The Politically Incorrect Guide to Teenagers (4.2% – 6.3%) and Is Modern Medicine Killing You? (5.6% – 7.6%).
Pulling Tricky Business for a re-run of 24 Hours: Police didn’t fix TV3’s Tuesday ratings woes — it averaged 2.8% – 3.6% opposite Body of Proof’s 4.7% – 9.4%.
The Mentalist won its slot, with 8.3% – 13.6% while Shortland Street enjoyed a resurgence with 17.3% – 20.0%.
