Hot Off the Press Release: Three Still Match Fit

Two rugby greats are behind a new MediaWorks series about whipping some of their contemporaries into shape for “one big final match”.

Here’s the media release:

Sir Graham Henry and Buck Shelford to Star in New Entertainment Series Coming to Three

MediaWorks is thrilled to announce a new factual entertainment series featuring New Zealand rugby legends, is coming to Three later this year.

Match Fit is a four part series that will follow rugby royalty Sir Graham Henry and Wayne ‘Buck’ Shelford MBE as they bring together a team of former New Zealand rugby greats and challenge them to get back in shape physically and mentally, with the aim of getting back on the field for one big final match.

Former All Black captain Buck says: “This is an awesome opportunity for ex-players to challenge themselves because it’s not just one last game that’s at stake, it’s overcoming the physical and mental obstacles in their way.”

MediaWorks Acting Director of Content – TV, Sue Woodfield says: “I’m delighted Three is bringing yet more great local content to television. This is a fantastic concept and I know New Zealanders will love watching their favourite rugby legends overcome their challenges to get match fit once again.”

Match Fit is being made with the support of New Zealand On Air and is scheduled to air on Three later this year.

If you guys have been wondering if we will ever get to see the Harley Quinn show in New Zealand … Well, surprise — season one is now on Amazon Prime Video ?

  2. Thanks, Trevor! You’re a better publicist than Amazon Prime Video! No mention of it from them. Hopefully this means we might get to see other DC shows here via APV, such as Doom Patrol.

  3. Yes, it’s weird about Doom Patrol. I even asked Neon about it but they have no plans at the moment. I quite like Harley Quinn, it’s rather funny although it does include lots of bad language and is rather violent in a animated way 🙂 At the moment I’m watching Search Party on Neon, it’s excellent 🙂
