Hot Off the Press Release: Vibe Joins Sky Go
Sky today announced it had added entertainment channel Vibe to its expanded Sky Go service — but no word yet on when Sky Go might go HD.
Despite HD additions like Vibe, Sky Go remains SD-only. “We hope for that to change in the future,” a Sky spokeswoman says — but there doesn’t seem to be a timetable for the transition.

SKY ADDS VIBE TO SKY GO LIVE CHANNEL LINE UP
Popular entertainment channel is now available to watch live across all Sky Go platforms
Packed with favourite crime shows, top British drama, inspirational reality series, and exclusive live events such as the Golden Globe Awards and Emmy Awards, Sky’s Vibe channel is now available to stream on Sky Go.
Sky Go allows Sky customers to access live TV, On Demand content and full-season Box Sets on desktop, laptop and devices based on the channels they subscribe to. The addition of Vibe today takes the number of live TV channels accessible at any time up to 34.
“We are always looking for ways to offer our customers additional value and adding Vibe to our live TV offering is the latest in a number of improvements for Sky Go. It’s also perfect timing with our live and exclusive coverage of the 71st Emmy Awards next month,” said Sky’s Director of Entertainment Content, Travis Dunbar.
Not only will Sky Starter and Entertainment customers be able to watch Vibe live on web or devices when away from their Sky box, but they will also be able to watch catch-up titles and box set shows, and make the most of their subscription using Download To Go to catch up on their favourites when offline.
Great new season premieres coming to Vibe in August include Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators, Age Gap Love, Born This Way, Inside The Ambulance and The Supervet. And, in September Vibe is celebrating television’s biggest event with live and exclusive coverage of the 71st Emmy Awards from 12 noon on Monday 23 September.
