I Hate Suzie to Launch Earlier

Neon will stream I Hate Suzie a month earlier than planned.

The Billie Piper series will stream as a box set from August 28 instead of weekly from September 24.

The comedy stars the ex-Doctor Who sidekick and Call Girl diarist as a celebrity whose star is dimming until compromising photographs of her are leaked online.

“Piper co-created the show in a reunion with Secret Diary of a Call Girl writer Lucy Prebble, and the character they have built allows Piper to really let loose,” Radio Times said.

“Suzie Pickles is self-pitying, self-sabotaging, sometimes grotesque, and frequently unlikeable; she is also very funny, weirdly relatable, and desperately keen to please.”

The series went to air just this week on Sky UK, when The Telegraph hailed it as “uniformly well-acted, sharply written and, above all, is ruthlessly accurate about fame in all its anxiety, mundanity and insincerity”.
