Invasion Spearheads Apple TV+ Sneak Peek
The newest sci-fi series from Apple TV, Invasion, which stars Sam Neill, will stream globally from October 22.
It’s part of a 2021 slate that Apple’s offered a sneak peek at with this trailer.
As well as Invasion, which has its own trailer, the promo reel includes “never before seen glimpses” of such Apple Original series as Foundation, The Shrink Next Door, Schmigadoon! and Mr. Corman, the Apple Original Film CODA, and second seasons of The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, See and Truth Be Told.
The trailer also showcases more series for kids and families, including new series Wolfboy and the Everything Factory and Puppy Place, and more episodes of Doug Unplugs.
The 10-episode Invasion from X-Men and Deadpool producer Simon Kinberg and Hunters’ David Weil will land with three episodes, with new instalments to follow weekly.
Set across multiple continents, this “sweeping, character-driven” series follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world.
As well as Neill, the cast includes Shamier Anderson (Bruised, Awake), Golshifteh Farahani (Extraction, Paterson), Firas Nassar (Fauda) and Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool 2).
Since becoming “the first all-original streaming service to launch around the world”, Apple TV+ says it has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service in its debut.
To date, Apple Original films, documentaries and series have been honoured with 108 wins and 380 awards nominations.
