Kidman and Cage Coming to Prime

Prime Video has released the official trailer for Nicole Kidman whodunit Scarpetta and first-look stills from Spider-Noir, which stars Nicolas Cage in his first leading TV role.
The new forensic crime thriller based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling Kay Scarpetta book series will premiere on March 11 and Spider-Noir on May 27 (in two streaming options — see below).
Kidman plays the unrelenting medical examiner who’s determined to serve as the voice of the victims, unmask a serial killer, and prove that her career-making case from 28 years earlier isn’t also her undoing. Reads the blurb:
Set against the backdrop of modern forensic investigation, the series delves beyond the crime scene to explore the psychological complexities of both perpetrators and investigators, creating a multi-layered thriller that examines the toll of pursuing justice at all costs.
Adapted by Barry’s Liz Sarnoff, the all-star thriller unfolds across two timelines, from Scarpetta’s beginnings as a Chief Medical Examiner in the late ’90s to the present-day, when she returns to her hometown to resume her former position while investigating a grisly murder
Jamie Lee Curtis co-stars as her sister; the rest of the cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker and Ariana DeBose.

Spider-Noir is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic about Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero.
Prime Video will stream the series in both “authentic black and white” and “true-hue full colour”. For a taste of each, view the B&W trailer here and the colour version here.
